Free music for everyone

We’ll get to the free music in a moment, but first…

Does anyone remember R.B.I. Baseball for the NES? Does anyone remember Game 6 of the 1986 World Series? Well, someone has gone and combined the two together. Using audio from the bottom of the 10th of Game 6, and video from RBI Baseball, you can now watch a re-enactment of the game. It runs about nine minutes in length.

Here at Buzz, we love music. As such, I thought I’d share the news that Napster.com is now free for streaming music. Pick any song from its library and listen at no charge. The music is streamed, not at CD-quality though, to your Web browser and you’re given the option to purchase the song to listen to offline and the ability listen to it on your portable MP3 player. All you have to do is create an account on the site at no charge.

The company is hoping that by offering this model where you can hear the whole song, and not just a 30-second clip like most other music services offer, you’ll be enticed to sign up for a subscription to the service for unlimited music each month for a nominal monthly charge.
