So long 2007, hello 2008!

So it’s nearly here, 2008. I can’t believe it. While 2007 was a pretty good year for me, I moved to Nacogdoches, bought my prized possession - Mimi- the Mini Cooper and started as the new editor of Buzz, I have a feeling that 2008 will be even better. Being a city slicker from Big D, I typically spend New Year’s Eve with friends at a downtown pub, but, decided this year to join my East Texas buddies at a smaller home-based celebration. But, for those, of you who want to spend the night out on the town, here are some options.

  • Moneterey Jazz Festival: 7:30 p.m. Turner Auditorium
  • Bullfrogs, Anex and Back Door :no cover and $1 wells
  • Banita Creek Hall :9 p.m. Granger Smith $8 and $10 for minors
  • The Fredonia Hotel :$75, $150 and $260 New Year’s Eve packages, each including a champagne toast, midnight snack, access to the hotel’s dance (begins at 8:30 p.m.) and party favors. The $150 and $260 packages also include a dinner buffet that begins at 6:30 p.m. and additionally, the $260 package includes hotel accommodations and breakfast for two on New Year’s Day.
