What is it about sushi?

Sushi by far is one of the best foods ever made. When I was in college, I often thought my friends were crazy when they told me they wanted me to try raw fish. “Ugh!” I would think to myself. “That is so disgusting.” Putting raw fish in my mouth was just too much to stomach. But, eventually I gave in, starting slowly with California rolls (avocado, cucumber and imitation crab stick), and then moving onto the other rolls that contained raw fish. Spicy tuna is now my official favorite. While there are not a plethora of sushi options in Nacogdoches — Sushi Ya is the only one I can think of off the top of my head — Wal-Mart somewhat recently added a sushi counter, giving me quick and easy access to what is now one of my favorite foods. Initially, I have to admit, I was skeptical.
The idea of eating sushi at Wal-Mart was a little bit out there, but after recently trying it, I have to say, it’s pretty good. While I’ll probably only stick with the sushi rolls at Wal-Mart, I do plan to upgrade my typical sushi order this weekend to include sashimi, the real stuff. Hopefully, like my other sushi experiences, it will be a positive one.
