Live music

If you’re looking to find something to do tonight, might I point you in the direction of Millard’s Crossing. Home to the PineKnot Music Co-op, this venue, will be in full swing with an array of local talent this evening. Ever heard of the Old 97’s — for those of us echo boomers, think Jennifer Aniston’s concert scene in the “The Breakup.” Bassist Murry Hammond will be performing, as will Lufkin’s own Social Bliss. So get up off the couch and head for the car. I’ll be waiting.

Last I checked Murry is still a member of the Old 97’s, who by the way, are coming out with a new record very soon that promises the be a return to the old form. -chris edwards
