Old professors
Like many other media outlets across the state, here at Buzz, we are constantly honing our skills with industry professionals. Tuesday, I had the opportunity to do just that with one of my old professors from the University of North Texas. While, he may not have remembered me, I clearly recalled Dr. Getschow. His intense tone and comments during my school newspaper’s critique sessions “Slash” were recreated in an afternoon workshop on self-editing. Listening to him speak, I was reminded of all the things I learned in school, but have sort of thrown out the window, along with my social life. With any luck, this time they’ll stick with me, and be evident in our next issue. So, be on the lookout.
